K. Greg Peterson
Greg Peterson has 25 years of legal experience and has spent most of it representing clients throughout Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Yolo Counties in matters involving business, real estate, and construction law. Mr. Peterson began his career in the San Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas and moved to Sacramento in 1988 where he took a position as an associate with a well-known commercial real estate law firm. He has been in practice as a sole practitioner for over ten years and has significant trial experience in federal and state court, both in jury and non-jury trials. His practice includes extensive use of mediation and alternative dispute resolution, and he works with a number of leading Northern California mediators whom he frequently calls upon to assist in the settlement of complex business or real estate cases. However, when a case cannot be settled for whatever reason and circumstances call for a trial, Mr. Peterson is also well-known at the courthouse and will not hesitate to try your case.
Martindale-Hubbell, which is the pre-eminent national directory for attorneys, has awarded Mr. Peterson its prestigious "AV Rating," which signifies outstanding legal ability and the highest of ethical standards. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Peterson also takes great pride in staying involved in the community. In addition to raising three of his own children, he has served on many boards and local groups dedicated to the improvement of educational opportunities for children in Sacramento. He has served as a Pro-Tem Settlement conference judge since 2005, been a member of the Sacramento County Assessment Appeals Board since 2006, and served as the Commissioner of the Sacramento County Planning Commission since 2009.
